There are more than 100 types of arthritis and most of them possess symptoms different to others. Following are the symptoms of most common types of arthritis.

Symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus:

This type of arthritis affects muscles, joints, skin, and sometimes internal organs. Although its symptoms can occur in anyone at any age, but its appearance in women of childbearing age is more usual. It can be mild or fatal. 131,000 Americans get affected by this with nine to ten times more women.

Symptoms of Gout Arthritis:

Its symptoms include sudden, severe attacks in joints, more commonly in the big toe. Approximately, one million citizens of the United States, seventy to eighty percent men, get affected by this. Its first attack starts between 40 and 50 years of age.

 
     
   
     
 

Symptoms of Osteoarthritis Arthritis:

Osteoarthritis or degenerative arthritis usually affects finger, knees, hips, and feet. About 16 million Americans are its victims; most of the sufferers are 45 and older.

Symptoms of Psoriatic Arthritis:

In psoriatic arthritis, bone and other joint tissues become inflamed. It can also affect the entire body. Approximately five percent of the people with psoriasis get this form of arthritis. Spine and finger are more likely to get affected. It affects approximately 160,000 Americans, most people get mild symptoms while others have to suffer quite severe symptoms.

Symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis:

With around 2.1 million Americans affected, three times more women than men, this type of arthritis can cause weight loss, anemia, and fatigue. It affects eyes, lungs, and heart. Other common symptoms include deformed and severe joint damage. It involved the entire body.

 
   
 

As stated earlier, due to Arthritis’ more than 100 types, symptoms of the disease can be variable. However, there are some certain signs which are as follows:

• Persistent joint pain
• Pain or tenderness in a joint that is aggravated by movement or activity
• Inflammation
• Joint deformity
• Loss of flexibility in a joint
• Non-specific fever
• Crepitus

From more than the 100 types of arthritis, you can be affected by more than one type. If you are having symptoms that don’t belong to a single type of arthritis, you should consult your doctor for the proper diagnosis.
